Mitchell Bros. Excavating is a family business first and foremost. The Mitchell Bros. is not just a company name. Primarily, we are brothers Eric, Cody, Major and Robert Mitchell, but the Mitchell Bros. is also a family made up of hard working employees, our partners, and our clients.
We run our operations year-round. During the growing season we are a leader in agricultual services, and in the winter months we busy ourselves with our construction, oilfield and infrastructure. We run multiple crews to ensure that we are able to cater to the needs of our growing client base. We are proud to employ an experienced and versatile crew that allows us to provide operations and services to a diverse prairie.
Mitchell Bros. custom farming offers a professional and hard working operation. Our seeding crews run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with up-to-date, state-of-the-art machinery and technology run by qualified and competent operators. With auto steer and GPS, our drills can seed upwards of 600 acres a day per drill. Our swathing crew is one of the largest operations in canada, with 5 units running 24 hours a day throughout the canola swathing season we have cut upwards of 40 000 acres.
Our construction operation consists of a large variety of machines, our seven gravel trucks and trailers do everything from haul gravel and rock in summer to hauling snow and contaminated soil in all parts of Alberta and Saskatchewan. We run ice roads building crews with custom made floater water trucks, snow guns, snow cats and tractor drags. Our ice road crew is very experienced with over 30 years combined experience between the owners alone. We run 24 hours a day in the harshest conditions that winter has to throw at us, and we are self reliant with our own mechanics and parts trailers to allow for little to no down time for machinery.
